Introduction

　　Established in March 2002, the Department of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine at Shenzhen Second People’s Hospital is the first department of its kind in Shenzhen’s public hospitals. It specializes in the integrated treatment of malignant tumors and has been designated as a “National Flagship Department for Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine”, a“Guangdong Provincial Key TCM Oncology Specialty”, and a “Shenzhen Key Specialty in TCM Oncology”. It also serves as the clinical base for the Three Renowned Programs, under the leadership of Academician Chen Keji’s TCM Oncology Team from Xiyuan Hospital of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences.

　　The department is affiliated with numerous prestigious institutions, including the National Drug Clinical Trial (GCP) Base, the Lingnan TCM Oncology Alliance, the National Demonstration Unit for Integrated TCM Services in General Hospitals, and the Shenzhen Association of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Tumor Professional Committee, for which it acts as the Chair Unit. Additionally, it serves as the Teaching and Research Office for TCM at Shenzhen University First Affiliated Hospital.
